Marco Slaviero

Marco Slaviero is an Italian performer and audio-visual artist based in Oslo. His current work focuses on contemporary and avant-garde music, where he performs primarily as guitarist, and occasionally as a multi-instrumentalist and performer. He is actively involved in commissioning and performing new music, both as a solo artist and within chamber music projects.

Over the past years, his practice as a classical musician has been affected by tendinitis, making experimentation with new techniques and equipment essential in navigating a period of uncertainty. By incorporating electronics, improvisation, and interdisciplinary elements into his practice, Slaviero’s artistic work explores alternative paths for an injured musician, rethinking artistic identity while engaging with the fragility and vulnerability inherent in performance.

Marco has recently collaborated with Ultima-Oslo Contemporary Music Festival, MUNCH Museum, nyMusikk Innlandet, Ensemble Lime and Eighth Blackbird. He completed his Bachelor (2020) and Master (2026) degree in classical guitar at the Conservatory of Music A. Pedrollo in Vicenza, Italy.  In May 2024 he concluded a Master in Music Performance at the Norwegian Academy of Music followed by a one-year course in Live Electronics for Performers during the 2024/25 a.y.
